Omera Partners is proud to partner with Energy Consumers Australia (ECA) on the executive search for their Director, Strategy and Corporate, based in Sydney.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director Strategy and Corporate is a senior member of ECA’s leadership team, working collaboratively with the Board, CEO and other leaders to deliver on ECA’s strategic priorities.
Supporting the CEO in day-to-day management of the organisation, the key challenges of the role will be developing and implementing a structured business planning process incorporating the work program, resourcing and budgets, developing an organisation-wide evaluation framework, using a continuous improvement model and ensuring that the high-level strategic vision is aligned with operations.
The Director will also act as Company Secretary, supporting the Board, and will assist the CEO in driving a positive culture shift towards an outcomes-orientation, collaborative work practices and open communication.
Energy Consumers Australia (ECA) is the independent, national voice for residential and small business energy consumers, and has a critical role in the transformation and modernisation of Australia’s energy system in the interests of consumers. ECA enables residential and small business energy consumers to have their voices heard by the sector by working with other consumer groups to gather evidence-based research with a national perspective to influence market outcomes.
ECA has an ambitious business plan – a research, advocacy and collaborative agenda to speak-up for consumers about the urgent affordability challenges and, longer-term, the bigger re-set and plan needed for a sector in transition. The Director Strategy and Corporate is key to the achievement of this goal.
