Unpacking the State of the Service report

2021 has been a challenging time for the public sector in Australia.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to push capabilities to the limit, and no one knows this better than our guest Peter Woolcott AO, the Australian Public Service Commissioner.

The State of the Service Report, tabled in parliament late in November, revealed how the capacity of the APS contributes to meeting strategic goals while addressing government priorities.

In conversation with The Mandarin’s Managing Editor Chris Johnson, the Commissioner unpacked the report, sharing insights and outcomes, and explaining what it all means for the Australian Public Service heading into 2022.

Usually Mandarin Talks are exclusive for Premium members, however we unlocked this important conversation to all.
